Senior Frontend Engineer

Remote • 06 Dec 2021 • Product

We’re on the lookout for a senior frontend engineer to join the new Corellium Design Team, where we focus on the strategy and execution of our brand, product and community across the company and beyond. It’s a full-time, remote role focused on delivering stellar experiences for our website and product, as well as a range of upcoming projects.

Specifically, we’re looking for someone that is obsessed with modern JAMStack technology and creating thoughtful, beautiful and scalable experiences for our users. We appreciate people who love challenges and solving problems, expanding their knowledge and creating best-in-class solutions.

While we don't expect you to be a master in all the tools and frameworks we use, we do expect a strong understanding of React and how JavaScript fundamentally works, as well as Typescript. This role is exciting as you’ll be spearheading front-end development across many different areas of the company, including brand, product and community, as well as forming the foundation for our future multidisciplinary design team.

To start, we’ll be working on a new design system, followed by a refresh of the website and product front-end, all from the ground-up on the latest tech - you’ll be leading that. Eventually, we’re looking to build out the website so it's world-class, push the product front-end with new features and user research, as well as create new apps and microsites.

Tech Stack

Our stack of choice is:

  • React: A JavaScript library for building user interfaces. We use React to build complex interactive and stateful UIs.
  • Next.js: The React Framework for Production. We use Next.js as the foundation for our websites and the front-end layer of our products.
  • Storybook: An open-source tool for building UI component libraries. We use Storybook as the foundation for the Corellium Design System, the styleguide and component library that runs all our interfaces.
  • Typescript: Typed JavaScript. We use Typescript to catch errors and fix problems before runtime.
  • Vercel: Continuous Deployment and Hosting. We use Vercel as our primary hosting platform for everything we build.
  • Prismic: A Headless CMS for the JAMStack. We use Prismic to allow the wider team to contribute to the website through copy and media.
  • GitHub Packages: GitHub's own package management system. We use this to privately publish shared JavaScript packages from the Corellium Design System.

Things we like: SCSS Modules, Hooks, States, SWR, Jest, ESLint, .editorconfig and Prettier.

While this is a fully remote role, we’re preferably after someone within Australia or United States working hours to work effectively with the design team’s hours (this of course means you’ll need permanent work rights your country of origin).

At Corellium, we create virtual models of mobile phones and other Arm-based smart devices to eliminate barriers to testing and development. Our goal is to ensure engineers are well-equipped to research, work, and test on Arm-based technologies — whether that's testing a mobile banking app at scale, creating software for a new smart car, or looking for security flaws in the latest router firmware.

We're a fully-remote team with headquarters in South Florida.

The problem with the current ecosystem is that physical devices don't scale and emulators don’t provide a true native experience. The solution: virtual devices. We create virtual models of Arm-based devices and run them on Arm servers, combining the fidelity of a real device with the convenience and scale of the cloud.

These devices run on top of our proprietary custom hypervisor, purpose-built to model complex peripherals and chipsets. From rapid hardware prototyping to advanced security testing, our groundbreaking platform accelerates development work on Arm technologies.

  • Competitive salary, benefits, and stock package
  • Work with top-tier engineering team and state of the art technology
  • Completely remote, work from home
  • Flexible hours and strong emphasis on work-life balance
  • Budget for remote office setup, wellness, and sponsored learning and development

As a fully remote team, we rely on a lot of tools to make asynchronous work efficient. Some of our favourites at the moment include Jira, GitHub, Slack, Linear, Zoom, Notion and ProductBoard.
